Default Need Suggestions Now.

Well my spec 2 started screwin up the other day. So i took it to a shop and it turns out that when the jackass that i let put it in for me torqued it down, he didnt get stuff tight enoguh. He just used a air impact gun instead of torqueing the bolts to spec. So a couple of the bolts on the pressure plate were about half way out and other miscellaneous bolts through out were loose. And the thing was not lined up right either. So now the shop is asking if i want them to put it back together and see if it works and have possibilities of having chatter and vibrations and short clutch life. Or get a new one and pay a few more hundred dollars cause of some *** hole. I am pissed cause i spent about $1000 in everything including the Spec 2 clutch kit, updated hydraulics and billet flywheel. Plus $400 for some suposed master mechanic to put it in and **** it up. So now i am goin to probably spend another $400. Should i let the shop put it together and see if it works. Or should i bite the bullet and buy a new clutch kit? Please help soon. Will be goin to the shop in a couple of hours. Thanks guys.

If you paid to have them install it they should take care of it?
I would tell them to put it together & if it's not right you expect it fixed free.
Didn't they say "they" or "he" installed it inproperly?

I would take it back to the guy that did it originaly, I am a certified mechanic and I do do side jobs. If I were to have a comeback that I caused, I would eat it, parts and labor. IF he wont at least go back to him and make him give you your money back.

Well i took the car to a different shop then the one that put it in. The guy that put it in is a moron and is full of ****. He works out of some friends shed and claims to know everything. But i talked to him and he says he will pay for the clutch and put it in. And i reminded him he is the one that put it in wrong, so i wasnt goin to let him do it again. So i am stuck with labor but atleast he is paying for the clutch. I am goin to give him the part number for a spec stage 3 since i am planning on spraying my car with a 100-150 shot this coming summer. I gave him the number to TT Performance, since they looked to have the best prices. But he told me he is goin to check and see what Napas prices on it are first. I started laughin and told him i doubt Napa carrys this clutch. So this was one great Christmas present. A fucked up $350 clutch and a few hundred in labor. I am goin to see if Spec will take back the old Stage 2 and give me a new one. Then i will sell that and try and my money back. Sounds like a fucked up thing to do. But that bastard that put the clutch in deserves it. Thanks guys.
