Default Info and experience spec twin, WILL IT HOLD?

I'm in the process of putting another nitrous street/strip car together and need some real world info on these clutches.I just went through two high dollar clutch setups and i'm sick of wasting my money.Exedy was $1900 and wouldn't even hold the 408ci on motor.Biggest piece of **** i've ever had in my car. The ram dual disk held until i pulled all the rivets out of the disk and it flew into pieces.Going with a bigger motor now so i'm trying to get some info on this spec.

setup:
468ci lsx tall deck ls7 headed (650rwhp roughly)
200-250 shot
t56 magnum
9in 430 gear/spool
28in slicks
5500-6000k launch
also do HWY runs

Will the spec super twin PT hold this? The PT is the one rated @ 1300lb t.

Thanks in advanced to all,
Bryan Pomeroy

I wouldn't waste my time with Spec. I have a RAM dual disk and I love it. Got 20 track passes on it so far and it still feels as good as the day I got it. Not making as much torque as your car though so not apples to apples.

Have you contacted RAM about the clutch that came apart? Maybe they can build you a custom one with stronger fasteners/rivets?

You might try the RPS Billet Carbon Triple Disc Clutch that claims to handle 1400 rwhp. The Textralia Triple Plate EXO-Skel looks pretty bad-*** as well and claims to handle 1200 ftlbs of torque.

I wouldn't waste money on it. Had a lot of trouble with spec cluthes. The guy who tuned mine also had the same issues as me. We both had problems getting them to release and they are very grabby. Not street friendly. My cousin had one and it wore out within mounths, but they did make it right with his.
