Notchy shifts in 2nd & 3rd gear when car is cold what fluid sould i use I just put in a newly rebuilt t56 in my trans am it has new synchro's an steel shift forks ..I am running Mobil 1 synthetic atf ..When my car is cold the tranny is notchy in 2nd & 3rd gears until the car warms up an i drive it a few miles then it is fine..I was told to put in regular Dextron III trans fluid in it..The tranny only has about 300 to 500 miles on it. Can anyone help on this??? Should I change fluid to something else???
