Default GTO Stock Shifter Location vs Aftermarket

Can anyone tell me if any aftermarket shifter for an MN12 in an '04 GTO relocates the shifter center slightly forward of stock location. I am looking for about an inch of forward movement for my application and would rather not go the route of changing the shifter cup and using an F-Body set up with something like a Tri-Ax handle. Thanks for the replies.

There are several GTO specific direct mount aftermarket short throw shifters, GMM being the best from what I've heard, that you could modify the handle, or even make a new one for your specific application. You can see in this pic how the handle comes back from the direct mount base and into the stock GTO position. Wouldn't be too hard to make it work an inch forward. Hope that helps you out.

Default Shifter options

Actually to to really limited options for shifter ***** ans sticks I think I am going to modify the shifter cup to the fbody and go with an MGW shifter. Read good things about this particular shifter.
