transmission question
hey everyone i bought a 2001 stripper z28 a few months ago and just started driving it alot. i noticed a bit of vibration in the trans and every like 7-10 secs it like kicks to the side a little bit harder than the normal vibration. also sometimes when i push the clutch in while drive i hear a slight "clunk" what could that be?
I always had 4 cylinder cars before so im not sure if its just a thing with v8's or if maybe my trans mount or motor mount is bad or maybe something else?
throw me some ideas, i dont know much about camaros.
thanks in advance

Two things to check.
Transmission mount and torque arm mount.
The trans mount is in between the transmission case and the transmission crossmember. They commonly go bad. You can replace it with a polyurethane version from the auto parts store, which is much more durable. The torque arm mount is on the side of the transmission, and attached the torque arm itself to the side of the transmission case. There is a mount inside the "clamshell" design that can go bad. You can get a poly version from one of the sponsors. I believe I got mine from the WS6Store. You can get a poly trans mount from the sponsors as well if you prefer.
