If it is lighter it will add power. I have a lightweight flywheel and hate it ...... Just get a SPEC package IMO.

Less rotational mass = less parasitic loss.. It's not just for saving the 7 lbs off your car, but it is more for reducing parasitic loss -- Which is the loss of power from the engine through your entire drivetrain (converter/clutch - tranny - driveshaft - rear - etc.)

We have awesome deals on the SPEC line right now. You can check out our sales in the Sponsor GP section or give us a call at 516-779-2330 and I'll be glad to answer any questions you have. For the prices of the SPEC stuff, there is no competitor that comes close to their performance for the price.

i am with t-maxx on this...
if you want to drag race do not get a lightweight flywheel...
yes on the dyno you will show 2-4hp more but as with everything it is how it is delivered that counts...
less rotaional weight means less inertia in the spinning fly wheel, as a result the clutch grabing slows your motor rpm much faster causing a huge tendancy to bog every launch. you try to compinsate by leaving at a higher rpm and end up roasting your tires... it is super difficult to find a sweetspot to launch... you will lose any advantage the extra ponys where giving you...
however if you are about auto cross then lightweight is the way to go.you will go faster in the long haul.
depends what you want

no infact it would hurt you more!
now you have both the lose of inertia AND more traction slowing your rpms....
you will bog worse!
