I think you just unplug it like a regular connector. I have the skip shift eliminator and it's just a dummy plug.

You're right on the electrical connector, but I need to REMOVE the solenoid from the Trans and am looking for the socket size I need to do that.

Thanks.

You'll need a deep socket 1-5/16 " or a 34mm should work also. I can usually get them with a large adjustable also. There's no sealant, just a rubber o-ring, so once you get one good turn, they spin out by hand.

The skip shift stops working if I just unplug it, no? No adverse computer issues?

I believe you will get a CEL. Thats what the plug is for. It fools the computer into thinking you still have it plugged in.

Yep that's exactly right. I thought about getting the plug or doing the $0.10 resistor mod, but I've decided I want that stupid thing off my car just on principle. I'm getting a speed density tune so I'll just have the guy tune that out too while he's at it.

Side note: Does that solenoid also hold fluid? Like when I take it out, is tranny fluid gonna start pouring out?

Awesome, thanks! Found it on Rock Auto for cheap, but I'd already placed my order and getting it individually would make shipping cost more than the part. Looks like I'll have to wait until next time I make an order.

Btw, for anyone looking the Dorman part number is 090-040.
