********VIDEO******** Clutch Sqeal
#21
I was told with my monster, I email Steve at Monster, to take it to the track and beat on it. Its a glazing caused by slipping it during break in, or your case probably from just driving it.

thanks for the input guys... it does seem to be affected by beating on it a bit. Seems to quiet down a little bit. However, after a day or two the noise come right back.
I suppose I just need to rip loose on the streets everytime I take it out

I've noticed that nothing short of launching hard on it is going to make a huge difference.

Centerforce replied promptly to my e-mail asking if they had ever heard this before, and what the DFX disc material was made out of. They offered to evaluate it...
Upon reviewing the video I can understand your concern with the noise. I’ve heard/experienced noises upon engagement of the clutch with the use of ceramatallic friction material, however, your vehicle seems to be slightly louder than the normal. The noise almost seems to be amplified by a tin sound which I’m uncertain of what is creating/amplifying the noise. Other than the noise, I don’t know that this would lead or cause a failure within the clutch. If this noise is something you can’t deal with and would prefer we inspect the clutch for abnormal wear or possible causes of excessive noise, you can contact us for a return number so we can evaluate the disc.

Mine sounds like that ( only while engaging 1st and cold) but mutch higher pitch , "like someone just stepped on a baby rabbit"
its a monster 3 cerametallic , I guess the noises are similar in theory to brake rotors and hi perf pads vs stock
I barely hear the noise anymore (been ignoring because I thought it was my 10bolt) either the stereo is cranked or the exhaust isn't having major flow issues Mine also shudders through the shifter a bit when squealing, I slip around 1200 most times. If i had a 9" already I'd just dump it everywhere like when the car only had a catback yea, this was my first v8.

Yeah, my Monster 3 acts like this too if it's been a while since I last beat on it.
