Default Corvette B&M Ripper + T-56 Trans Am

Although B&M does make a Ripper shifter specifically for the LT1 Firebird/Camaro, I have came across a good deal from a friend for a B&M Ripper for 97-05 Corvette. The linkage appears to be the same between the two shifters with the only difference being the stick length. Will the Corvette Shifter install properly in a T-56 Trans Am?

Any input is helpful.

Thanks

Edit
For anyone interested, after some research and help from the guys over at Camaroz28.com I've realized this probably won't work.
