Default something broke please look inside if you can help.

I was at the track today running well i might add. on my 2nd run i made it through 1st gear and second gear then it was done.would not go into 3rd.

PROBLEM- When the car is in gear and the clutch is pushed in if i try to start it the car jumps forward like the clutch is out.
if the car is running,it will not go into gear ti'll the car is turned off. then it will go into gear all day if the car is off.
Any thoughts on what this can be??
clutch or trans? THANKS Mike c.

I think it might be the clutch's slave cylinder or the pressure plate! IT happened to me once already and it was the slave cylinder!

sounds like the clutch isnt disengaging. check the hydraulic line where it goes into the side of the transmission and then look at the bottom of the bell housing to see if the slave cylinder is leaking any fluid.

No leaking from the car. Maybe press-plate bent or something?
