stock ls1 T56 bellhousing height????

Default stock ls1 T56 bellhousing height????

can someone please tell me what is the exact height of the factory t56 bellhousing?? i just got a new QTP SFI bellhousing and am just now reading that some are different in height and i need to know incase i have to shim my slave for propper clutch engagement.

If my memory serves me correct, I think It's 5.5" I'm going to my shop later today and will confirm. I can tell you that it is exactaly the same as the McCleod without the block plate. Hope this helps, Dean.

5 1/2 is what i got (im in the middle of a clutch replacement so had it out and about).

How much did you have to shim it? Did you use the block plate?

No block plate and no shim, works perfect in my application. If your bellhousing alone is 5.5" any addition to this measurement would be the thickness of the shim you would need to keep the stock height. If you have an aftermarket clutch you should always check. Hope this helps, Dean
