gear noise

Default gear noise
is it normal to have substantially loud (drowns out engine and exhaust completely) gear noise under hard acceleration at the very top of first gear? goes away as soon as i shift to second and doesnt come back...just wondering.

stock 2.73 gears and level 2 t56 (a4 to m6 swap)

What kind of noise are you hearing? A whine?

yeah, its a very pronounced gear whine. its sounds like an old school straight-cut gear tranny whine.

I get a whine in first to when the revs are going down but it's gone as soon as I shift up
