possibly a dumb ?
Ok i know that this may be a stupid question but...do I have to take out the bellhousing to remove the clutch and flywheel? I already have the T-56 out getting rebuilt. Just wanted to look at the clutch and flywheel when I have the trans out. They were replaced by the previous owner less than 7k miles ago...I have a LOT of vibration when taking off. Its a SPEC Stage2 and SPEC flywheel. And I just wanted to look at it. Also what Clutch alignment tool do I need to put the clutch back in. What spline?

usually you remove the bellhousing with the trans, but regardless, once the trans is out the bell housing wont stop you from seeing the clutch. if you want to actually take the clutch off to inspect it i dont see why you wouldnt just take off the bellhousing to make your life easier

I got an alignment tool...I guess I will take the bellhousing off to remove the clutch and flywheel. Any torque specs that I need to know...or a specific way to remove the bolts.

just be careful you dont drop the clutch disc when you remove the pressure plate bolts. and you will want to use all the proper torque specs when going back on. u should be able to find them on here somewhere if you search
