ya thats a cool vid. I like that angle.
So you put it in N after rowing. then coast and have to crash in back in gear. If you rev mach can you go 3-2-1 and slow the car down? That still clunks? thats burring up the gears right.

How many miles do you get beofre you can tell you have to address the gears getting burred up?
I like to down shift more the coast. With the drag brakes. you Kinda only have XXX about of MPH you can slow the car down beofre you tell they start to fade getting over hot. I'd say like 130mph the brakes will remove every 5mins driving. 35mph streets are fine, Some of the bigger mutil lane 45mph you drive 50 on with lots of lights. I down shift for sure to slow the car down, more then use the brakes.

Do any of the vendors here sell the faceplated transmissions outright or do you have to send yours in? Also I notice that most of the folks here who are running them all have LSx cars, can they faceplate the LTx T56?

It can be down shifted easily if you rev match. I just stuck it in N because my road was coming up and I had plenty of momentem to get where I was goin.

I broke a faceplate on 3rd last year. They have updated thier design since mine was done to fix that problem. After 4yrs on that t56 that has been the only problem and I consider it my fault. It don't really damage the gears, the fp takes the abuse. All I did was remove 3rd gear and send it to them to get it fixed. The other fp's looked fine. I highly recommend this mod.

RPM gets their parts from Liberty. Call Jeremy or TJ and ask them if they have the gears in stock. They might do enough of them to keep them in stock.....

I would think if you rev match there little wear, there shouldnt bee a diffrance in the gear speeds to hit right?

How many miles are we talking you guy have, or get on this before you notice anything needing attention?

20,000 or so.....maybe more before I had to fix mine. Like I said, everything else looked good in it.

Downshifting is easy with it. I always rev match on a sycro box too....always have. That's the proper way.

Yes rpm stocks them since liberty must have like one employee.

I wont do another faceplated trans. If you look at it from a metalurgic standpoint it isnt good for the gears. I bought a tick STAGE 3 had this pos out twice now in less then a year not including the original issue when i installed it of it leaking fluid and the speedo not working. There is a reason they dont warranty these transmissions because it isnt good for them to faceplate them.

Here is second gear out of mine. Thanks TJ for having the replacement I needed.

Supposedly the magnums are much stronger gearset etc.

Doesn't matter if its a LT or LS style T56. If its a standard 2.66 ratio fbody style trans the 1st thru 4th gears are the same in both.

In the video did you clutch it when you shifted? or just lift on the throttle?
