83 Z28 LS1 making about 400rwhp and 400rwtq through MN12 T56(GTO tranny) and 12 bolt Moser w/3.08 gears(planned to go turbo initially). Ram Adj. master cylinder(drill mod), GM Slave Cyl., remote bleeder.
Great daily driver clutch vs. LS1/LS6/and LS7 clutch w/ minimal chatter, no issues for 6-8k miles.
Finally took it to the track on M/T ET's w/ excellent track prep.
First pass bogged launching at 3k clutch dump 1.9 60ft.
2nd pass same but this time 4k dump 1.8 60 ft.
Best 60 ft. was 1.78 dumping the clutch at 5k+ w/no clutch issues at all.
Was thinking about slipping the clutch a bit to see if it would improve my times but decided against it.
Best time was 12.41 @ 114 in 90 degree weather w/ 3100+ DA
Still dialing my car in and debating whether to go w/3.73 vs. 3.55 in my daily driver car that sees the track a few times a year. I'm leaning towards 3.55 given the MN12's gearing, freeway driving, and eventually plan on going forced induction.
