Now you know where the money you spent went. I doubt my car will ever have a trans with syncros again. It will always be a street car too. Gonna take it on a 150 mile road trip to a race next weekend. Bangin gears is about as fun as it gets!

Judging by your video your babying this thing to much. Stop the double clutching. This thing shifts with RPM. Up or down shifting. Your letting the trans tell you what to do. No !! Rev the engine an rip the gears. Taner has done a lot of R&d for liberty. His was the first face plate on the street I belive. I have driven his car many of times. This is a great set up. But no babying. Rev an pull hard an fast up through the gears. Then when you need to down shift , give the throttle a tap for RPM an pull it in. Again its rpm that shifts it. The higher the RPM the more it will almost shift it self. Simply BAD *** !!

That's the gayest video I have ever seen.... Who ever is driving that car should go buy a geo metro with a auto in it. I have had a faceplated t56 for over 3 years in a daily driver and you don't drive it like that.....you don't drive anything like that. For upshifting you just shift it quickly...shift it like you mean it. For wot shifting I don't use the clutch...so that alone makes the shift faster..I just breath the throttle a bit. For down shifting you have to rev match, learn how to heal toe like a road racer would do and it's smooth... My exgirlfriend drove this car for months and loved it..if she can figure it out anyone can...well besides the guy in that vid. Here's a vid of it at the track.

Here is my faceplated t56, I've run 200 passes on it with virtually no wear on the faceplates.

I picket up 3 tenths over a syncro t56

Don't just leave us handgun', what happened?

I'm looking to get a faceplated TKO 600 or Jerico DR4 for my Nova. Weekend car to drive to the strip or cruise nights & back so I'm really interested in your opinion of both street and strip driving. Thanks.

It really is easy to drive, Yes the shifts are loud and very positive but there is no chance of missing a upshift. I put 1500 miles on it and loved it. It broke because of my *** up. I try to skip a gear down shifting and went from 5th to 1st. All it did was take the faceplating off first gear. Liberty has my gear now and mine should be back in shortly.

Here is a video of our fellow user ws6transam01 with his faceplated transmission on the street. I had a faceplated trans in my 99 SS for about a year and loved it. That trans is now in my LSX mustang and will be just as much fun as it was in my SS.

It is roughly $1250 to faceplate 1-4 and all the billet shifter mechanism upgrades they suggest when faceplating a T56. I can work you up a deal on faceplating your T56 if you are interested.

I can hear some gear whine, so I'm wondering if it has the 22 degree helix gears in there, or is someone making straight cut T56 gears?
