Default Ford TR-3550 to Lq9/LS block, what's needed?

Okay, so I've been lurking for quite a while reading up on the LS platform. It has interested me for a while. I currently have a 93 Mustang that has a 3550/early TKO in it. I am contemplating putting an Lq9 in my Mustang. Since I already have this tranny and would love to keep it, what would I need to change to make it work with an LS? I see that promotion powertrain sells some parts like the bell housing, etc. Can it be a simple change like the input shaft, etc? Would it be worth it? I'd love to use it because it would save some money instead of trying to get a T-56. Also, where should I get the parts, PMP, McLeoud? What is a ball park price I'd be looking at? Sorry for the rookie questions.

Thanks,

Gary

I am not sure why you would want to, when you could just get an ls trans to bolt behind it. and have another gear
