Default Is this the typical master cylinder problem?

My mom has an '01 Z51 Targa, and she's been having a problem similar to stories that I read about here... the clutch will stick to the floor. But her problem doesn't happen when racing/driving hard, it happens when she is sitting at a light with the car in first gear and the clutch depressed. Is that going to be the same master cylinder problem as the people who's pedals get stuck under high load?

Could Be Slave, or the Master it self. IMO I would bleed the slave and see where that gets you.

It sounds like the slave is getting hot, probably due to the throwout bearing part of it showing some age or something...flushing the fluid clean and then bleeding it probably won't hurt, but I don't think it'll fix it either...might band-aid it for a bit...but what good is that?

As far as I know, the car has gotten a new clutch within the past ~10k miles... could that have something to do with it? I'm not sure if it was happening to her before the new clutch, but I know that whenever I drove it everything was fine. And I drive it quite a bit differently than she does.

Fluid swap takes 2 people and MAYBE 45 Minutes IF taking your time. Not much considering when you do a clutch swap, its a lot more time and you still should be bleeding at the end. So take the time and do the least amount of work to rule out something as simple as dead fluid vs a faulty part.

I was having that problem when I got done running my car on the dyno also. I was pushing over 550 crank hp through a stock clutch and the clutch pedal no longer came back up. I drove it home and changed the slave, master, clutch assembly, throwout bearing and did the drill mod. Doesnt happen anymore. lol

It had the stock master and slave cylinder in it, so it was 10 years old w/45k miles on it. I only remember it happening after I added the turbo to the car, so it was probably partially the clutch.
