Any body here note smooth shift with regular dex 3 ?
My tranny sometime hard to shift in first, and not so much smooth to every other gear. I just bought the car, so I plan to do fluid change. I just want to know any body here note shift smooth with regular dex 3 fluid. My local walmart have gallon jug of dex/mer for 9 buck.

I learned my lesson years ago with T56's to go out of my way to avoid running fancy fluid...I run regular Dexron 3 in mine and it is as smooth as can be...every time I've filled one with something "better", it's felt worse until draining it and starting over.
Also, if you just bought the car, check out the condition of the hydraulics...if they're having issues fully disengaging the clutch, that will make it very not smooth when you're shifting.

it have brand new gm clutch in it, the mechanic told him easy on first 500 miles, he did 260miles and I drove home yesterday and it hit 510 miles. So I did 240 miles highway miles, i heard break in clutch need to be stop and go condition, I did the rest miles on highway, I just wonder it ok, should I just continue easy on it for few more hundred miles on stop and go condition ?

Try the new fluid. But it maybe a Slave or Clutch Master issue, if your not getting it fully engaged it could be dragging and thus not allowing clean shifts. Until my Tick Master Cyl went in I never truly had clean shifts.
I will mention though a swap in trans fluid when I did my clutch swap from Factory Dex III to Pennzoil Synchromesh made a signifigant difference especially from 2-3 shift.
