cant get into 1st gear from a complete stop So I picked up an 04 GTO the other day and Ive been loving it so far. One thing thats been bugging me though is that if I am at a complete stop and try to put it in 1st gear it wont go..I have to kind of bump it twice to get it in..anyone know what may be going on?
Last owner said a new clutch was put in a month or two ago

Does the clutch pedal ever fade away or get really stiff after a wide open throttle pass? What clutch did the previous owner install?
Are you having the same issue for reverse?
You might still have some air in the system and I would try bleeding it first.

Im not positive on what kind of clutch ill have to ask him again..wasnt a stock one though. Clutch feels good never noticed a problem with being extra stiff or soft. Reverse does it too if I try to go from neutral. If I go from 1st to Reverse then it goes right in.

change the fluid, i just bought my car, and it does that, i change fluid today, and wow wat a big different, it shift smooth, and it let me go in first when car still moving, and it let me down shift to second smooth now.
