What connects the shifter to the rear transaxle on a C5 Vette?

Default What connects the shifter to the rear transaxle on a C5 Vette?

As noted, how does the shifter attach to the transaxle? Is there a single straight shaft that runs from the shifter to the transaxle shift pin? A pic or even a hand sketch would be very helpful. Need to know for a possible swap solution. Thank-you

Yes, a long rod attatches to the the shifter box on one end and to the shift rail that extends out the front of the transmission on the other end.

Wow! That was quick. Thanks so much. That's what I was hoping for. Thanks again, really clears things up for me on the swap optional transaxles, C5 FTW.
