Default Question about Pro 5.0 shifter install

Ok, this is the problem with age. About a month ago, I took out the trans to have some work done on it. In doing so, I had to take the Pro 5.0 shifter off. Now I am putting everything back together, the trans is back in and now putting the shifter on. As I am putting it back together, there are 2 springs in the console where I put everything that came off the shifter and for the life of me I can't remember where these 2 springs go. Can somebody give me a hand with this. Where does these 2 springs go on the shifter? Help! Thanks

You took apart the shifter? The two springs in the pro 5.0 are for centering your shifter, they should not be seen when its put together.

Now its coming back to me. There is a slot running from left to right that a small tube in the shifter handle sits in. Running from top to bottom, there are two small spaces, one on top of the shifter and one on the bottom that the springs lay in like you said to center the handle. Is that correct?
