Default What is the smoothest shifting shifter?

I currently have a Pro 5.0 with a LSS and its too damn notchy for me. I liked it at first but I can't stand it anymore. I switched back to the stock 5.0 handle that I cut almost an inch. Its a little better but still notchy. How is the Hurst Shifter with a short stick? I want to try another shifter that is alittle smoother. What do you guys recommend?

I have the same setup as you. I like it; people who drive my car tell me it's alot safer (no backshifting) and you can feel exactly whats going on. Other shifters are too sloppy for me.

I agree, you feel every shift go in and gives your an assurance the shift is in, but most times you have to put more effort into ingaging the shifts. Like when your cruising you have to put effort into the shift, but when your slamming gears its a different story.

If you were just a little closer I would swap you my Ripper just so we could both see if we like the other.

I had a ripper before the pro 5.0 but didn't install it becuase the shaft was too long for my taste and couldn't be cut.

ok
I like the ripper anyhow. its length is great for me.
You get them too short and you loose the leverage advantage and the tranny starts to feel notchy.
