Default Tick master cylinder mounting?

I bought a tick master, and have been trying to install, but it doesn't seem to sit flush on firewall. It hits the little bump in the picture.

Also the white piece that the reservoir connects to seems to be at the wrong angle. Can I just loosen the clamp around it ,and rotate or will this damage the unit?

So, that ****/protursion is actualy the head of a bolt that holds a tension cable under neath the pedals inside the car. I used a hole saw, popped it out and used some sheetmetal and rivets to cover it up. Looks OE.

Thanks, I'm probably going to attempt that. Didn't know if m6 cars had this protrusion cause the car was converted from an a4 to m6.

I think its only on A4 cars because I did the swap too and mine had it. Its a bolt head, again, but its for a cable that runs from the shifter up to the steering column. I took it all out today.

Just want to post this for search reference. If your A4 going M6 you'll have to remove that bolt, I used a holesaw and then covered it with sheetmetal and rivets.
