Can't speak for anyone else's car but it did not work on mine as well as I would have liked. It looked great and shifted good if you were just driving on the street but during a launch I had trouble with 3rd gear. It just hit the console a little in 3rd at WOT. My car has the factory/non-Hurst shifter. I bet most guys don't have any trouble with it but for some reason I did.

I've had mine a lil over a year now and I love it, I don't know what noises everyone is talking about though... Probally can't hear it cause of my exhaust.

reviving an old thread for hopefully more input;
should I or should I not go for the ws6 short stick with just the base non-hurst shifter? I know on the site they mention that the shifter may hit the bottom trim piece in 2nd, 4th, and 6th.
Anyone have any experience with this? How bad is it?
Thanks

My car is a 97 non hurst shifter, and the short stick did hit the console in 2,4 and 6 gears. What I did was loosen the console and move it back slightly ( about 1/4"). Works great now and I love it. I did not notice any extra noise.

i made mine perfect put in a vice heated it and bent it left and back just a hair and it was perfect for me but i'm a short ****. don't be scared to make it fit you, you can heat it up and unless your superman jamming gears the stick will not break after being heated.

I was worried about that too, so I just got the 6.5" version. No problems with that on my '98.

I have a UMI short stick with my Pro 5.0. I don't dislike it, and for $15 I really can't complain, but I don't see the big fuss over short sticks. Maybe if I had the stock Hurst it'd be a bigger improvement. The shifts don't seem noticeable shorter eventhough the length of the stick is.

Very happy with mine as well. I have it on the factory Hurst, standard 6". Mine doesn't hit the console at all and the height feels natural.
