Default Please help me with spec 3 clutch Break in procedure.

Clutch vibrates a lot during easy launching in 1st gear. Its noisy too. The passenger seat actually vibrates. I guess thats is called "chatter" ?

1) How am I supposed to really drive this thing for it to break in correctly? I can either try to smoothen the launch by launching at 1800 rpms and slip the clutch but that still makes alot of vibration and noise. I can also launch at idle and give it some gas after rpms fall all the way to 500 and that would minimize the chatter and vibration the most (the car also acts like its going to die with the lights dimming). I could also maximize the chatter by maximizing my clutch pedal pressure point where the chatter exists. What should I do? Directions say I have to put down 400 miles of stop and go driving, but I have no clue on what driving style should be utilized?

2) Am I supposed to keep my rpms low at all times? please explain.

3) Can I do gradual WOT runs without smashing the gas pedal? is it bad to go WOT? I installed headers and the clutch at the same time, is it ok to rev the engine? Please explain.

4) Am I supposed to do VERY slow shifting and very slow clutch engage/release?

Please give me some advice on how to drive this thing. Dont want to do 400 miles of incorrect driving.

Hope you guys could be of some help here.

I have about 16000 on mine and it can still chatter
Its something you have to learn how to drive.
I ??? Well I just don't baby it.
When the light turns Green I GO.
But I have gotten real use to this clutch and have feel for it now
if I want to leave a light easy I do the almost stall it aproach.
I say for breakin .
Don't baby it.
Your trying to seat that disk into the pressure plate and flywheel.
Tom
