Default Which twin disc

I have been through more clutches then I even want to think about. Now maybe they weren't installed right I dont know but I don't seem to have much luck until I went with the ls7 clutch which has been great. The problem is that I am upping the cubes and I don't think the ls7 is going to handle the torque.
I want a clutch that is as close to stock feel that I can find in a twin disc.

Don't forget McLeod. I put in the RST twin and it feels just like stock to me. Of course I also run a Tick MC which made the pedal just a little bit harder but still very easy IMO.

Orange, Let me know a bit more about your torque output and planned usage for the car. Once I have this info I will be happy to make a recommendation relative to our Super-Twin clutch kits. Thanks!

RPS clutch is very nice. But you need to tell us HP goals and type of use planned ? also weight of car would be nice

Still don't know the rwhp, the engine made 650 to the flywheel the torque was about 580 at the flywheel. The car wil probably be about 3600 lbs I'm guessing if not more with the stereo and all the dynomat. The car will see some days at the strip and maybe some lapping also but its more of an old mans cruiser then anything else.

have had the same issue here in Australia..

VE HSV R8 or Pontiac G8 over your way I think ?

on my 8th clutch..... its a twin and organic/copper with the pick up point custom built to my liking.

Like u I have had manufacturer issues, some install issues and just failures.
I have changed everything related to the clutch.

Have got a purpose built 7L 427 with 546rwhp.
Have had single plates and twins.

Waiting for the new one next week, Nicks Performance Clutch. (3rd one)

Interesting to see what happens as if it also doesnt last Im going to try something recommended over USA/here.

If you are at or under 800 HP, the Mcleod RST Twin is the way to go. It feels like a factory unit but launches like a race unit. No metallic grinding and light pedal feel....just my humble opinion
