Ok, bleed it with a mighty vac and got very few tiny air bubbles out and still have the same problem. I am now guessing that the zoom clutch must require a shim for the slave. Thats the only thing left as I already replaced the slave and master.

Ok, If this helps any at all. I bought a mityvac and bleed it and still have the same problem. The pedal feels a little harder but the first 2-3 inches has zero resistance at all and then it will catch. It will only go into gear if I push the clutch all the way to the floor as hard as I can and it will still move forward a bit.

Any one? Does this sounds like a slave issue or maybe something a Tick Master would take care of. I hate throwing a lot of money around. Any experiance would be great. Thanks.

Yes, I did it a few times. Got a few small bubbles but nothing more after the first time.

the thing that gets me is that when I installed the Zoom kit with the Zoom slave, I drove it from Maryland to North Carolina that night with no shifting issues at all. Then the Zoom slave was leaking and this problem developed. Now I have replaced the slave and Master with the same issues.

No sorry I was talking about leaving the mityvac on for a bit. I have bled the old fashion way with my dad a ton before I bought the mityvac. I am just wondering if the Zoom slave was a bit bigger and the GM slave might need to be shimmed.

Wish you'd posted that earlier so I could have found something more productive to do. Go RTFM.

Thats what I thought but I just wanted to see if you were really the *** that I thought you were. Sorry to waste the however many mins of your life (that I am sure are so precious). I blew the clutch 500miles from my house and got a kit from the adavnce by my dad's house. Had 2 days to order and install the clutch so that I could get back to Camp Lejeune before my leave ran out. We can't call in sick in the Marines because we blew a clutch. So yea we tried to use everything we could (Coordless impact) to get it done as fast as possible and I didnt think that those had suck touchy TQ specs. But don't let me waste any more of your time. Thanks, Sean

Way back ago, I had an E-7 walk by the lift at the post auto craft shop while I was thrashing my car back together before they closed. He said something to the effect: "Hey bonehead, you're screwing up here here and here" and walked off. Turned out he was right.

Sorry if your feelings are hurt.

You didn't hurt my feelings. I have been in the Marines for 8 years and it would take a lot to hurt my feelings. I was simply asking a question. I am on here for help not for someone to tell me to read the ******* manual. It was an off the wall question, and I have put together that that is not the problem. If it was I would have never been able to drive it back. It was fine until the zoom slave started leaking.
