Unhappy Mc Leod flywheel problem

Has anyone had problems with the McLeod flywheel teeth breaking off? I bought a twin disk clutch kit that has less than 500 miles and no track passes and 2 teeth broke off. I didn't expect this for the price that I paid for it. We will be doing away with the manual and going to a turbo 350 now.

What kind of engaement did you have from the pinion gear to the starter gear? The most common problem is there is too much engagement and it binds the gears together and then essentially breaks off a tooth.

It made the typical sound when the starter is dead, yet we just bought the starter 2 months ago and about 10 miles ago. we thought the starter was bad and he went to take it off and found 2 teeth broke of the flywheel.
