I finally shortened my B&M ripper shifter!!!! I cut it off with a cutoff saw and then bought a 16mm x 1.5 thread pitch die from revell hardware for $7.47. I had to taper the top of the shifter a little bit to get the die started on it but once it started it was a breeze. It's looks great and now i have an instant short throw shifter that's 1 1/2" shorter than the factory and all for under $10.00. I'll post some pics of it but i don't have it in the car yet bc the trans it out at the moment

What's the obsession with short sticks? I think the shorter throw will be overshadowed by the reduction in leverage.

There's something wrong with your trans if you're concerned about leverage. It's not a truck.

I was mainly goin for a sleeker look with the cutoff shifter and not necessarily for the benefit of a shorter shift.
