From my personal experience, I'd stay away from anything "GM" fluid wise when it comes to our T56.

i stand corrected,learn something new on tech everyday. also if your looking for the mobil1 syn ATF i know autozone carries it or atleast the one by my house does.

if your trans is built use mobil 1 atf. That is what 6 speeds inc told me when i had my first built trans from them.

Ive had the stealer-ship do many fluid swaps in my T56 for years and no problems at all. (Only had them do it while I still got free changes with my warranty agreement to save me the hassle) but it always ran fine. Why the hell would the manufacture and designer of a mechanical part run the wrong fluid inside of it? You don't see people talking about how their tranny grenaded on the way home from purchasing a brand new fbody, that's absurd.

So what is this "personal experience" you have had?
