Default Spec or Ram?

I have a 2001 Firehawk, looking to upgrade clutches when I install my procharger...

Which do you prefer and why?

i had a bad experience on two occasions with a spec 3 clutch. two different cars two differnet flywheels. both f bodys. put one in a GTO before these two and my buddy didnt make it 10 miles before the first burn out. never had any problems with his. other two never grabbed. any way i have a RAM hd or hd x now. which ever is their most aggressive single discs. very touchy at first but finally have about 3000 miles on it and couldnt be happier. daily driver or weekend car?

might want to consider a twin disc clutch. it will hold the power and typically be more street friendly. A single disc clutch can hold 400 ish RWHP with a level 3 and up....you get to 500 RWHP than a level 5 type disc and that is not nearly as forgiving for street driving as the twin.

For 450hp a Twin-disc is over-kill. You could easly get away with using our Stage 2 clutch. Keep in mind that a number of factors affect clutch life and performance so make sure that your flywheel is flat and clean. Don't over-grease the input-shaft and insure that you are not leaking any hydraulic fluid or oil from your RMS. Follow the standard break-in instructions and you should be fine. Of course, we provide a number of stages and flywheels for this application and have thousands of satisfied customers that support and recoomend our products. Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist you further. Thanks
