Default Need opinions on clutch for 00 ss camaro

Just tore out the clutch and being told to look at several different ones. Ram, Spec, and Clutchmasters. Thoughts, ideas and opinions and prices appreciated.

spec stage 3 is probably the most suggested clutch for an Fbody. I have one, and i agree.

yes, unless your going high horsepower and if so I believe the street twin is the way to go.

Yea what he said.

Whats a SPEC going for with flywheel now? around 700?

The Twin disk it what ?? 1200?
if you're not puttin down some 500 hp the SPEC is a real nice clutch.
Both are ON / OFF clutches though.
Fantastic at the track , A little annoying in Heavy Stop and go traffic. But managable.

The SPECS have been used for some time now. They chaged the design from the crap original. I have the original design in my Ws6. It used to be in my SS but after having mulitple problems...clutch disk broke into pieces after 600 miles(this was cruising on the highway at 65mph) and then later the pressure plate failed....SPEC wasn't going to do anything, but I sent them the clutch and their was NO signs of abuse at all; so they sent me another. That one I put in my Ws6 since the OEM clutch was shot. I replaced my SS's clutch with the RAM 6130/402 VDS clutch(Ram's 910 disk is used for power adders and I will be swapping it in soon, but the 910 wasn't available when I got mine). The RAM is much better then the SPEC in my opinion. RAM is the best customer service company in the LS1 business! Many members are using the Twin Disk set-up, but I prefer the RAM...unless like said previously, really high HP applications.
