Bruteing

Ok on a buddy of mines car when you yank it from 3rd back 2nd and get on it it'll brute the back wheels and then take off. What could cause this? Its a 86 camaro with a swapped in 6 speed. Hes running a Ram powergrip clutch.

Might want to describe your problem another way??

bruteing- no dictionary results

brute –verb (used with object), brut·ed, brut·ing.
to shape (a diamond) by rubbing with another diamond or a diamond chip.

I'm not sure what the car is doing to the back tires after a 3->2 downshift and going WOT..

Oh sorry redneck dialect kicking in. The back tires will slide for a second before it starts to pull hard when you pull it back to second. Like you just down shifted at high rpm with out using throttle but your flooring it. The drivetrain brings the motor down for a second and then the car takes off.

So...He is going from 3rd to 2nd, nails it, and the tires break loose? Am I not understanding this completely?

i believe thats called downshifting without rpm matching and ******* your **** up - cuz your locking your rear wheels up with your drivetrain and not your breaks. like hitting 2-3-2 instead of 2-3-4.

He needs better foot work. He should have the engine reving higher when he dumps the clutch in 2nd gear. Not dump the clutch with the throttle closed, then floor it.
