New Throwout Leaks at threads - fix?
Purchased a new "perfection" throw out bearing for my 6spd the other day, connected it, and had to let it sit for a few days. Came back, noticed fluid leaking from the threads at the bleeder valve, at the main unit itself.
and it was tight, not over tight. tightened it more, same issue the next day.
returned unit, replaced it with a new one
....same issue.
Called Perfection tech support and all I got was "uhhhhhhhhhhhh I don't know what to tell you"
I wanted to get this done tonight, but it looks like I'm SOL.
Threads look fine, but they sure had that thing tightened TIGHT from the factory. (china)
Can't put teflon tape on the threads I don't believe, wont hold up against the DOT3.
Any suggestions? I rather not spend a couple of hundred $$ on a McLeod etc.

Is the seal at the threads? I thought it was angled surface to angled surface like an AN fitting. Sealant such as tape or teflon paste won't do a thing if that's the case. Try threading off the bleeder screw and take a look at things to verify.
Maybe you didn't tighten it TIGHT enough. Is your old slave's bleeder still sitting around and able to be swapped in?

Correct, tapered surface, shouldn't leak. So it is/was leaking past that, and out the threads. Out of frustration I went and "tightened" it "slightly" more. We'll see if it stops by tomorrow.
It's much tighter than I think it should be, or probably how tight I'll be able to get it once everything is bolted back together.
Stupid crap made in China. Then call tech support and they are just a bunch of idiots anyways! lol
**end rant**
