I know it isn't common, but what are your feet worth to you? $469 seems pretty fair vs. the alternative.

You can't go wrong with the Quicktime bellhousing. They are a fantastic quality product and we all at RPM run them in our own personal cars too.

I'm all for a blanket around the main case too...I've only seen one come apart...it didn't do a lot of damage...but it did puke trans fluid all over the rear tires...I like the bellhousing to save the engine/car/me, and I like the blanket to help contain the mess should I need to stop the car in a hurry after a catastrophe.

put one in my 98 camaro ss a week or two ago. Fit great, no issues anywhere. Was slightly thicker than the stock bellhousing so I shimmed the slave, but nothing major. I would definitely recommend measuring your air gap when installing a different bellhousing and or clutch.

The regular price on the Quicktime bell is $541. The blow proof bellhousing is the shield. The stick bellhousing won't contain anything if a clutch fails. Stock bellhousings range fro $100-200 depending on who is buying it.

They fit great. Mine doesn't rub a thing. Mine was the exact depth as the stock one, but a few guys have said lately that they are a little deeper which will only require a shim behind your slave.

I haven't personally installed one in a 3rd gen yet. The dementions are fairly close to the stock bell.

They are $469 with the groupe buy pricing.
