t-56 popularity I understand the T56 is sought after, hence the prices people are asking for used t56's. What are the chances of trading my 4L60e for a T56, maybe with cash on top? I got the engine out of a wrecked 00' Z28 to use in my 240sx.
The T56 is by far the most popular transmission. I can't hardly keep them on the shelf. Every time we get one built, it sells really quickly. The last one was built last Wednesday and sold on Friday of last week. I'm trying to get at least 2 more T56's built and ready to go this week.

It would be really tough to find someone to trade a T56 for your auto, just because the autos aren't worth nearly as much.

Ive been trying to sell my rebuilt low mileage auto cause I just recently went t56. Hardly anyone is biting. I was 900 firm... now im just taking offers to get rid of the thing.
If anything, email me a build sheet or anything like that you may have and I'll try to help you sell it. I get people asking for stuff like that from time to time

i feel your sorrow trying to get rid of the auto. Mine definately couldnt be considered built, so i just gave up on it. i gave it to a shop to use as parts.
As far as finding a T56, i got really lucky and found a guy that had "an extra" built one, if you can believe that, and i got a ridiculous deal on it. he wasnt even trying to sell it, he just saw that i needed one and made an offer. So keep perusing the classifides and maybe even put something in your sig to say what youre looking for. you never know.
