Default Which clutch for my setup???Decisions, Decisions...

Ok been doing a little searching and have somewhat narrowed it down, but would like your guys input on choices.

LS7 Clutch
Spec Stage 3+ or 4
Monster

I am trying to stay somewhat on a budget with this and dont want to go super crazy right out of the box, but at the same time want a little reliability.

Setup is a LQ4 Turbo motor- stock internals for now, Garrett T67, GTO T56, and possibly a Cobra IRS Rear (now sure yet on that one)

Looking for a conservative 450-500 range starting off, but will like to bump it to closer to 600-650 later.

Oh ya it will most likely not be launched hard as it will be used for road racing, clutch will not be getting dumped, but will be getting rev'd out up high a bit, and will be in a 2400lbs rx7.

Please give me some input on what you would do. thanks

For your application (RX-7 used primarily on track) I would suggest the Stage 3 or 4 dependent on your wants. The 3 will provide smoother engagement and less shock as a result of the sprung-hub disc. The 4 will have less weight and similar capacity but will be a bit less drivable. Another option would be a 4-pucked version of the Stage 3 which will have less weight than the normal 6-puck disc while maintaining the sprung-hub. If drivability is a concern go with a variant of the Stage 3. If all out performance is your goal then the Stage 4 would be awesome! Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,

Try one of our Monster Level 3 or 4 clutches with the lightweight flywheel. My preference would be the Level 3. If you have further questions, please do e-mail us or give us a call. I'd be more than happy to help out.

p.s. We do have our Monster Clutches on sale for $100 off along with free shipping and handling! Yay.

yea the stage 4 is what i was planning at first. i am not to worried about drivability, due to it being used mostly on spirited drives and track. so you would go with 4 puck unsprung? dont really know the difference of sprung and un-sprung if u could explain. thanks

How about for High rpm speed shifting? The 3 or 4? Used for track and street. Launching off whatever the gas pedal has left.. Lol.

Our 4 will be a bit less drivable than the Stage 3. This is why i suggest the 4-puck Stage 3 as a lighter alternative that will provide better drivaility.
