Low budget? Good luck. Your best bet if saving money is get your stock flywheel resurfaced if possible & order a Diamond basic kit from TDP. For a full clutch kit including flywheel expect over $500 easily, think closer to $1000 for a complete set-up, slave & all minus master cylinder.

Like he said, my Stage 1 kit is only $369. We are running a special this month, but it hasn't been posted up yet. You get $35 off and free shipping on a basic kit and $70 off and free shipping on a complete kit. If you decide to get your stock flywheel resurfaced, I can include a 0.050in spacer for the slave to compensate for the difference for just $7. The Stage 1 is slightly stronger than the LS7 kit, and only $334 shipped.
I also have a billet stock weight flywheel (23lbs) available for $185. A new slave cylinder is $80. Call in to place an order. Thanks
BTW, the Stage 2 is $40 extra, and the Stage 3 is $40 more than the Stage 2. www.diamondclutch.com

here's my low budget clutch after 5k very easy miles:
now I'm running the diamond stage 2 and it is a very very nice clutch, I've been driving it pretty hard and it gets the job done no questions asked. for the price you absolutely can not beat it.

If you are interested in comparison:
Our SC091 (which includes a disc, pressure-plate, TOB, Pilot, and alignment tool) retails for $299. We also offer steel and aluminum flywheels too if you need one. I do not suggest removing any more than .015" from the stock flywheel (if it is currently un-surfaced). Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist. Thanks,
More info relative to stanges and pricing can be found on the link below:

As for the "budget" clutch in the above pic, I can tell you exactly why it failed. You can see it right in the pic... There is no metal backing on the friction material. It was riveted directly to the fins coming off the hub, which makes it no good above 250hp.The Diamond Stage 1 uses a full faced disc like that, but it has a metal backing on each inner side of the friction material, making it much stronger.
