Default Slipping or chatter - New to LS1 F-Bodys

Under moderate to hard accell and decel my car making a noise / vibration. The more agressive I drive the more often symptom is felt / heard. Mods so far are strano springs / slp hds and 275 / 315 DD ZR1's. Clutch seems high and my pedal got stuck half way down recently, pulled it up with my foot, but I could still shift. Pedal stick has not re-occured. Car is 2002 w/ 42k, I have put 1200 miles on it. Smooth 1st gear clutch engagement has always been difficult. I had a 97 LT1 SS and 98 404 rwhp C5 and they would slip in higher RPMs like normal. I know how to work a gear box, but I wonder if a previous owner learned to drive a manual on this car. I have done the 6th gear /30 mph test, but I get inconsistant results. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jay

I kind of wondered about that. I went out today and did a hard launch and it seemed help it. I think one or both of the previous owners rode the clutch all the time. An LS6 clutch kit, slave cylinder, and pilot bearing are on my to do list.
