I pulled the transmission to get a rebuild and upgrade (5th gear is shot) and before I even got all the bolts out I heard something drop and hit the ground, confused I saw a little chunk of metal. I look and see a chip where one of the bottom bolts goes. Can I get along with this small piece missing or can I replace just this part of the case? Anyone know how much something like that would cost??

ALSO,
The bellhousing was fairly oiled up since I have what appears to be an intake leak. Can I just clean this all up with brake cleaner or could my 3 year old clutch be screwed because of this?

Thats not really going to hurt anything. Just make sure there are not any high spots on the mid plate where it contacts the bellhousing.
