Exclamation Aluminum vs. Steel

I had a Fidanza aluminum flywheel and the friction plate cracked!

Not sure to replace the friction plate ($50) or go back with a steel flywheel.

Aluminum vs. Steel ... who takes the win?

Appreciate feedback.

i am going with steel, aluminum while it may be lighter doesnt always mean better in this case. Hear some horror stories and have seen aluminum flywheels take out some ****.

I think if it is gonna see alot high-rpm drag launches. Go with a lite weight billet steel. I just changed to a Fidanza but it might see track duty once every 2 months...

Out of curiosity, are these aluminum and chromemoly flywheels SFI certified?
