I kind of have a similar problem but I think it's more because of my Sparco seat then anything else.

I may try shifting without depressing the clutch to the floorboard everytime. I just don't want the gears to grind when I am shifting. The clutch lets out sort of high so I guess I dont have to. It's an LS7 clutch I'm told.
Do you have power seats? If so just play around with the controls until you find something comfortable, they're pretty adjustable. If not, then I don't know if anything else would help, you'll just have to try to get used to it.

I'm 6'0" and I know what you're saying. It just seems that you have to sit too close to the steering wheel to depress the clutch comfortably. This is one reason that I decided for an A4 in my first f-body as opposed to the M6 I really wanted.

That being said, you don't have to push the pedal all the way to the floorboard to disengage the clutch. With that and adjusting the seat carefully, I can get where it feels pretty natural ... but I still have the sense that I'm sitting a little too close to the steering wheel.

Update:

I took the car out for a ride this weekend and took some of your advice. Instead of laying the pedal to the floor for every shift I got comfortable with only using 1/2 to 3/4 of the pedal. It allowed me to move back exactly to where I felt comfortable and not up into the front window.

I think alot of it has to do with the A-piller being right next to my head. in 2004 I was in a very bad accident with my 1998 Z28 and I really don't want to feel unsafe in this car this time around.

I'm 5'8" and I have the std Cloth Formula seat that's 4 way adjustable.
I have the seat cushion tilted all the way back to cradle my thighs, then I laid the seat back just enough to have my arms slightly bent at 10 and 2 hand positions. The seat is just close enough to hit the clutch to the floor on full extension of the leg. I've driven the car from several different positions but this one always gives the best results as far as steering control Clutch and shifter action and overall visibility.

im 5'3" and find it somewhat uncomfortable. Though im working on getting it mroe comfortably adjusted. Ive had the car for 3 weeks now and don't have too much of a problem.

though going from a grand prix sitting pretty far back to this is a big change. I used to drive at full arm extension, not anymore.

I'm 5'-2 and the clutch sucks I'd love to have an adjustment to bring it closer or shorten it's throw. I feel like I have to be too close to the steering wheel to push it down all the way comfortably.

You are 5"8, but do you have normal lengh legs for a person of your height? Some people have abnormally long torsos but short legs..The opposite for some others.

If you just got the car, it might just take a little getting used to it. I am 6ft and when I first get into a stick car I move the seat somewhat forward, then usually move it as far back as it goes a few minutes into the drive as I get more comfortable.

I got a little more comfortable after driving the carnow for 2 weeks. I realized that the clutch doesn't have to be layed to the floor every shift. Now I just ease it through the gears with half the clutch and the seat is back far enough for me to enjoy the car. I guess I was just used to my old automatic car that I could put the seat real far back and be comfortable

Jimmy P....did you ever get rid of the car in your signature. I was ready to come buy that as a roller . I really liked that car. Was just to far to buy sight unseen.

I tried that **** too but it kept getting stuck under the pedal in between shifts. You think biting your tongue hurts, try stomping on your 3rd leg when its stuck between the floor and the clutch pedal!!!!
