Does anyone have a ls1 input shaft laying around where they can get the following dimensions for me?
1) gearface to end of shaft
2) gearface to start of splines
3) gearface to end of splines

Thanks! I have a m29 lt1 t56 that i want to convert to ls1 trans. The problem is locating a 2.97 gear ls1 input shaft. I thought of using the 1386-585-007 input shaft and making a spacer adapter between the trans and bellhousing. also need to know the recess of the slave mount from the top side of the midplate. It looks like the input shaft is 3/4 inch longer.

Sell the M29 and get an M12, or at least get Jason@TDP to cut/weld the aftermarket input shaft you're looking at. You'll be way ahead of the game in the long run. (You can convert over to a LS1 front plate, but you'll need a bunch of shims on the countershaft since the '93 bearing race pockets were set ~0.060" higher than all the other GM T56s.) The '93s also had smaller inputshaft/countershaft mesh gears and thus got a smaller power rating than a M12 would have.
