PLEASE HELP!!! Car wont go in to 1st,3rd,5th

Default PLEASE HELP!!! Car wont go in to 1st,3rd,5th

Hey guys,

Just installed my Pro 5.0 in December. Its been running great, but today my car wont go in to 1st, 3rd, and 5th. any ideas?

did you check to see if the mounting bolts maybe loosend up? Sounds like that could be the problem.

it is also possible that the shifter stop lock nut might of came loose and keeping it from going all the way forward.

Yeah, I think taqwache is right on the money. I would put my money there. His reason would explain why it's all the 'top' gears. It's gotta be that. Just my two cents....

well how far should I tighten it? if I tighten it too much could that cause problems?

The stop bolt that the shifter SHOULD NOT hit in 1st, 3rd and 5th under normal shifting. You line it up touching and then back it off 1 turn or so. That way if you really slammed the gear forward it'd hit but not otherwise.
