Default Clutch Suggestions.

Im in the market for a new clutch and would like some suggestions. Car is stock for the most part now but future mods include LTs with an on road y pipe, a mild cam such as a 228r and maybe a 100 shot of juice. I was going to get the LS7 clutch do to price and the fact its OEM but I don't like the fact the flywheel is alot heavier than stock. So now im stuck between the Monster level 2 or the Ram powergrip HD. Pedal pressure isnt a big deal to me but I would like it to be quiet and not all chattery. Anyone have any opinions on these two or could recommend one to me? Whats the opinions on the stock flywheel too, with my goals will I need an aftermarket one or can I get my stocker resurfaced and be ok?

Well after some research ive narrowed my choices down to the Ram Powergrip, Ram powergrip HD or the Diamond Stage 2. I plan on resurfacing the stock flywheel due to cost. Any opinions?

Not sure why the Level 2 disappeared from your choices, but I can guarantee the plateload is higher equating to more clamping force and the coefficient of friction is higher. Remember our clutches are underrated at the rear wheels unlike other manufacturers crank numbers and a dual friction disc is only as strong as it's weakest side. So if any of them have a shot at holding up to the spray it's the Monster! As long as you're not trying to spray out of the hole on a DR, you should be fine.

I have the diamond stage 3 with all the mods you are wanting to do along with a 125 shot and it is great, but it is like an on/off switch.
I recently helped a buddy install his Diamond stage 2 and he loves it, he has all my mods plus TSP LS6 heads and it holds it prefectly. The pedal feels almost like stock and has very smooth engagement. If you have any questions feel free to PM

Whats the plateload on the monster? Its 2800 I belive on the Ram. Im still considering your product as I've heard many good things about Monster clutches. I was going to keep my costs down by using my stock flywheel but after I added everything together,

Ram Powergrip HD $450
Resurface stock flywheel $40
Slave/TO bearing $120
Pilot bearing $15
Im at $625 so Ive been leaning towards the monster @669 and get a nice billet flywheel for $45

And a new slave from Monster is 70, not 120. I ordered my level 2 with 18lb wheel yesterday.

Correct we get the slaves directly from the manufacturer and cut out the middle man, passing the savings on to the customer. OP the plate load is 3500 on the Level 2.
