Just to clarify, the price you have listed is before or after the core refund?

Can an LT1 T56 be built to these specs? or only LS series. Or is it possible to get the input shaft machined to LT1 specs?

No problem, thats why we say before the price "Exchange Special Price" then the price...we thought Exchange sounded better than swap...hope this helps, if not, its AFTER...

I'm curious as to how you all transform T56s into TR6060s when the bearing and gear spacing is all different? I guess what I am trying to say is, what is the core needed for when nothing internally in a T56 is used in the swap? Unless you all have done something different I haven't seen...

The core is needed for our T56 transmission rebuild shop/service, this helps bring down the cost of the TR6060 builds...Thats why the cost of our T56 into a TR6060 Change-Over is so much less (cost wise) than any other trans build shops...On your other question, the interior dimension/size of the main cases are identical...

So it will be around $4,200- 4,500 if I dont have a core???

What kind of torque rating does this trans have and how does it hold up to abuse.

GOD I wish we had this 6 years ago!! My T56Rebuilds 4B is still rock solid...... I wonder if the old T56 can be re-geared... I COULD use a 6th that isn't as steep (smaller? Larger gear?) If I was in need of another trans, I'd go with a 3.73 rear, or a ZO6 rear gear ratio.. To match an exact Vette gearing! That's most of the reason why they seem to pull so nicely! Just their overall gearing between the trans and rear.

Call me sometime we probably can help you with re-gearing your trans, if you want...ALL 6-Speed Manual C5 & C6 Corvettes have a 3.42 rear gear...

Hey guys, sorry for the delay...

Our Custom Built T56 to TR6060 Change-Over Transmissions are Rated at 800+rwtq...

Which ratio..?? Well that depends alot on type of tire, height of tire, rear-end ratio and the type of driving you plan on doing...If you guys are having trouble putting the power to the ground now, then you definitely need to change from the ratio you have...

Alot of guys just want to do alot of tire spinning down the road (which is alot of fun), but as we all know that does NOT win the race...Most people over-gear (to low) there cars when they only have stock to med HP, which will make them much faster from point A to B, but then when they add NOS, Turbos, Supercharger or a larger cube built engine, now they cant get the power to the ground...

Thats why we ask for you guys to call us, so we can better get an idea of everything thats going on with you and your car, so we can recommend the correct ratio for your application now and in the future..
