Default RPM Transmissions once again offering parts and labor rebuilds for T56 transmissions

We have always offered parts and labor style rebuilds but we haven't had a set pricing structure. So after great intrest from our customers we have decided to start advertising our parts and labor style builds again. Our company began with our owner doing parts and labor style builds more than 10 years ago, but after so many of our customers wanted to keep their cars up and running till their new transmission arrived we began our core exchange program. In the past 6 months I have seen a resurgence of customers requesting parts and labor builds. So I have decided to adversite pricing for them.

This pricing only applies to F-body, Viper and 03/04 Cobra T56 rebuilds. GTO, CTSV and Corvette add $100 to the price of each build for the added cost of the triple cone blocking ring kit. We don't build any of our T56 transmissions with stock keys in the 3/4 synchro assembly. The price of these items isn't high enough to make it worth while to risk them failing and you having to remove your transmission again.

All of our rebuilds get new seals, shift rail guide pen bolts and new shifter shaft bushings to insure your transmission shifts the best it possibly can.

Our stock rebuild with keys is $895.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 3/4 synchro assembly
New plastic fork pads
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

Our Level 4 Parts and Labor build is $970.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 1/2 and 3/4 synchro assembly
Steel 3/4 fork
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
All new seals, gaskets, shift rail bushings and guide pin bolts
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

*Performance Metal micro polishing of all internal parts +$350.00
*Liberty's Faceplating of 1st-4th gears +$1,475.00

Our Level 5 Parts and Labor build is $1,545.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 1/2 and 3/4 synchro assembly
Bronze fork pads
Bronze shifter bushing
RPM Modified 1/2 fork
Steel 3/4 fork
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
Performance Metal micro polishing of all internal parts
All new seals, gaskets, shift rail bushings and guide pin bolts
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

*Liberty's Faceplating of 1st-4th gears +$1,475.00

Our Level 6 Parts and Labor build is $1,895.00

It includes:

Media blasting your transmissions case (we will blast your bellhousing too if you ship it with the transmission)
Compressed carbon blocking rings
Billet tool steel slider keys in the 1/2 and 3/4 synchro assembly
Bronze fork pads
Bronze shifter bushing
RPM Modified 1/2 fork
Steel 3/4 fork
Hand fit slider assemblies
And assembled to our specs
Performance Metal micro polishing of all internal parts
Cryogenic tempering of all internal parts
All new seals, gaskets, shift rail bushings and guide pin bolts
*Add $100.00 to the price for transmissions with triple cone rings (04-06 GTO, 97-07 Corvette and 04-07 CTS-V)

*Liberty's Faceplating of 1st-4th gears +$1,475.00

We have great rates with many reputable freight shipping companies. No need for you to stuff your valuable transmission into a plastic tote and have it damaged or lost by standard ground shippers. We can ship T56 transmissions to most parts of the lower 48 states for $200.00 or less. Give us a call and we can schedule a pickup any time that is convenient for you.

If you have any questions please fee free to shoot me a PM or call me here at the shop. 1-800-406-1109

These prices do not include hard parts such as gears, synchro assemblies, bearings, shifter shafts, main shafts or other internal hard parts not listed in the package prices.

Jeremy,

I am having issues with my TR-6060. I am reading stuff all over the web from people with the same issue (1-2 High RPM shift - can't get it in 2nd). Have you heard about any of this and do your TR-6060 upgrades address it?

Hi Mike,

The 1/2 shift issue is very frustrating for many TR6060 owners. We solve this problem with upgraded carbon blocking rings and a full micro polish on our 2010/2011 Camaro TR6060 transmissions. We have had great success with our TR6060s solving the known shifting issues. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks.

Just throwing this out there, wouldn't you have warranty that would cover your trans?

Some people have modded their cars and voided their warranties. So they have to fix these issues out of pocket.

Yes, I would definitely qualify for the modded car probably out of warranty crowd. That said, a lot of people are experiencing this issue on the replacement transmission as well. At any rate, thanks for the reply Jeremy. What's the power rating on your upgraded model?

No problem. Yes the service replacements are seeing the same issues because they are exactly the same as what is already in the cars. As for power rating, there transmissions have seen 1000+rwhp in 5th gen camaros. One of our Level 6 TR6060s is in LPE's 2010 Camaro race car and it makes nearly 1300rwhp. That is by no means our power rating, but they are very tough and I wouldn't be afraid to put one behind 1000hp all day long.

Awesome! I am sure I'll be in touch.... just a matter of time before I run out of patience and decide to replace it. It was in the plans all along, it's just unexpectedly early.

Our turn around time on a manual transmission rebuild is only 3-5 days right now. We can have you back on the road really fast. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Since it is already one of our Level 5 transmissions it will have all the basic upgrades. It will only be $250.00 for the labor and the price of parts. Shipping will be around $220 round trip. The 9310 shift is $588.00 and I will have to check on the price of cryo. We won't know the full extent of the damage till we get it apart. I will shoot you a PM tomorrow and let you know what the cryo treating will cost. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks!

i already have the 9310 mainshaft and the cryo gears in my tranny
and i just took it apart....holy crap...in less then 8k miles.really

needs 1-2 syncro 3-4 syncro 5-6 syncro and gears 2,3,4,5 the syncro teeth are all worn/chewed up but their is no material on the magnets? i can only think that that means the gears went in the tranny that way? and also i noticed my reverse syncro was flipped and reused

I can assure you 100% that the transmission was not put together with damaged parts. Flipping the reverse synchro is commom practice by ALL T56 rebuilders. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing this. If all the gears and snychros are beat up then you definitely have a clutch disengaugement problem. Can you shoot me some pictures of the damage?

Are all new bearings/synchros used in the rebuild? If not, how much would this add to the package prices listed above?

I have what may be a dumb question; what are the differences between the above-listed $675 Stage 4 rebuild and the $2k+ rebuild listed on your site?
