Default which shifter????

took my old nam. buddy out for a virgin ride, long story short, i missed 3rd twice at 85mph finally found it and took off . new rebuild on 50k tranny ,new carbon fiber, blocker rings, steel 3/4 fork etc.. shifter sloppy, made my own stalk direct bolt on. got rid of that rubber mounted black thing. what do you guys suggest? it has the stock hurst shifter now.i dont want to miss any more it makes me feel like a dumbass!! i didn't over rev. but next time i might not be so lucky. need short throw, positive engagement. thanks in advance...

I have a Pro 5.0 and i think it is just ok, I still find it hard to hit 3rd sometimes. I have really been itching to cough up the money for a MGW shifter.... i hear nothing but good things about it.

I installed a B&M around 2005 and am still happy with it. 3rd is no problem. You can't change the stick on it though.

Had the pro 5.0 and I didnt feel like the throw was any shorter at all. Now I have the Hurst Billet Plus Shifter and its 100x better. I hated the pro 5.0

A buddy of mine misses gears when he over heats his clutch. For ex. doing a small pull in a high gear will over heat the clutch. He has the LS7 clutch. What clutch are u running??

You go Hurst and it's going to be easy to shift but not very accurate when slamming gears. Pro 5.0 or probably MGW and you can slam the **** out of it and you'll hit the right gear every time.

Yea you shouldnt have over heating with that clutch. When I change the shifter I would also change your clutch fluid. I use ATE super blue
