Default Moving shifter to foward location on f body t56

I looked at the old threads on this and am suprised there isn't much info on it.Looks like most everyone swapping into an older camaro, nova, etc. would be intrested in doing this. What are all the options to make ths happen?Which do you think is best? How hard are the kits to install and how well do they work.I am aware of the kits from kiesler and mclode but know little about them.Anyone done this or have good info?

Its called a midshift conversion. Basically you swap the shift rail and the selector under the 4 bolt steel plate with one that has a cup on it for the shift to ride in. It also requires a special shifter base to accept the smaller 4 bolt pattern. The rear section of the trans then gets blocked off with a steel plate to keep it from leaking fluid.
